These coated dispersion screens are now standard in all new Slayer espresso machines. They are designed for optimally even distribution of water through the puck, with an interior surface pattern and coating that allow beading of water droplets across the entire screen. This promotes even distribution of the water promoting a more even and consistent extraction.
With their new coating, these screens are also easier to clean and often only require plain water backflushing and wiping to remove stubborn coffee debris. These screens are suitable not only for Slayer groups, but also other 58mm groups including the La Marzocco group head. As these screens are precision coated, it is important to ensure they are cleaned using plain water and minimal cleaning chemical to retain the coating long term.
